Phillies - Braves Recap Quickie

The Phillies opened up a three game weekend series with the Atlanta Braves by ending a seven game losing streak against the Braves with a 4-3 win. Jeremy Hellickson went seven innings giving three hits and two runs to pickup the win to improve to 3-0. Bartolo Colon (1-2) took the loss giving up eleven hits, and four runs in seven innings. Hector Neris picked up his second save after surrendering a home run and sitting through a twenty four minute rain delay. The Phillies win their second straight and improve to 7-9 and move into fourth in the NL East.The Braves drop their fourth straight fall to 6-10, and are now in last place in the NL East.
