Phillies - Reds Recap Quickie

For the first time in three years the Phillies won on opening day beating the Reds 4-3. Home runs by Cesar Hernandez and Freddy Galvis, and a RBI double by Michael Saunders gave the Phillies a 3-0 lead after two innings. Billy Hamilton cut it to 3-1 with a sacrifice fly in the third. Jeremy Hellickson gave the Phillies a much needed insurance run in the sixth with a RBI triple to put the Phillies up 4-1.  Jeanmar Gomez's first save of the season wasn't an easy one. Scooter Gennett hit a two run homer off Gomez in the bottom of the ninth to make it 4-3. A save is a save, and a win is a win, and the Phillies are in first place (tied) for now.
