Phillies - Cardinals Recap Quickie

The Cardinals used a 7 run 11th inning to beat the Phillies in game 1 of a three game series 8-1. Jedd Gyorko gave the Cardinals a 1-0 lead with a solo home run in the second inning. The Phillies tied it 1-1 in the fourth on Maikel Franco's RBI single. A pair of doubles and a pair of two run homers in the 11th helped the Cardinals come away with the win. The Phillies drop their fifth straight and fall to 22-47 while the Cardinals win their fourth straight against the Phillies and improve to 32-37.
