Phillies - D'backs Recap Quickie

The Phillies opened up a four game series against the D'backs with a 6-1 win on Friday night. The Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and made it 2-0 in the eighth on a Maikel Franco home run. After the D'backs cut it to 2-1 in the bottom half of the inning the Phillies put the game away with a 4 run ninth that included a Tommy Joseph two run home run. Mark Leiter made the start in place of Jerad Eickhoff and pitched six shut out innings giving up just three hits to pick up his first major league win. The Phillies win their second straight and improve to 24-48 while the D'backs drop to 46-28with the loss.
