Phillies - Mariners Recap Quickie

The Phillies took both games of their quick 2 game series against the Mariners after Wednesday afternoon's 5-4 win. The Mariners took a 1-0 lead in the first on Nelson Cruz's RBI single. The Phillies took a 3-1in the third on Ty Kelly's two run homer, and Odubel Herrera's ground out. Kyle Seager, Danny Valencia, and Robinson Cano put the Mariners up 4-3 with solo home runs. In the ninth Tommy Joseph tied it 4-4 with a solo home run and Andrew Knapp would drive in Cameron Perkins with the eventual winning run with a RBI single. Hector Neris pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up the save. The Phillies win their second straight and improve to 26-51 while the Mariners drop their fourth straight and fall to 39-41.
