Phillies - Red Sox Recap Quickie

The Phillies dropped their second straight extra inning game losing to the Red Sox 4-3 in 12 innings on Tuesday night. The Red Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead after two innings. Aaron Altherr tied it in the third with a two run homer.Mitch Moreland gave the Red Sox the lead again, 3-2, with a solo home run in the bottom of the third. A Michael Saunders ground out in the sixth scored Tommy Joseph,and the game was tied 3-3. The Red Sox would win the game when Xander Bogaerts scored on Andrew Benintendi's single in the bottom of the twelfth. The Phillies drop their seventh straight and fall to 21-42, while the Red Sox improve to 36-28 with their second straight win. The next to games will be played in Philly.
